Job description:
As a Paralegal, you are an indispensable force within the office. You ensure that everything runs smoothly and provide support in all kinds of legal processes. In your role, you will have ample opportunity to develop yourself, support a wide range of matters and contribute to the success of our firm at the same time. Duties:
- Legal Research & Analysis: You delve into legal issues and conduct thorough legal research. You ensure that the office always has the most up-to-date and relevant information to give well-founded advice.
- Drafting & Editing Legal Documents: You will help prepare drafts of letters, pleadings and other legal documents. You ensure that these documents meet the highest professional standards and are legally flawless.
- Managing Files: You will maintain legal files accurately, ensure that all information is well documented and easily accessible, and ensure a structured flow of cases.
- Client Contact & Communication: You are the first point of contact for our clients. You answer questions, provide administrative information and ensure that communication always runs smoothly.
- Sessions Preparation & Support: You ensure that all documents and papers for court hearings are prepared in a timely and complete manner in the files you manage.
- Coordinating & Organising: You keep an overview and ensure that important matters are done correctly and on time. Whether it is scheduling appointments, preparing advice or managing deadlines - you always have everything under control.
- Ad-hoc Support: In addition to your regular duties, you will provide support where needed in administrative and organisational areas, enabling the office to function optimally.
Requirements:
- A legal education: You have a completed education at legal level, preferably Law Practice/Paralegal or similar studies.
- Experience: You have at least 1-2 years' working experience as a Paralegal or legal assistant. You have knowledge of legal procedures and relevant laws and regulations. Recent graduate and excellent results? Convince us of your ability and take your chance.
- Communication skills: You have excellent written and oral communication in Dutch and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Language skills: You have an excellent knowledge of English and French in addition to Dutch. Multilingualism is highly recommended.
- Proactivity & accuracy: You think along, take initiative and always ensure the flawless execution of your work.
- Digital skills: You have an affinity for software such as Microsoft Office and digital systems and can work efficiently with various digital tools.
- Legal skills: You are familiar with legal research in legislation, case law and legal doctrine.
